ACES Women’s Retreat: Personal and Professional Authenticity in Counselor Education

Please join us for this opportunity to reflect on the intersections of our personal and professional identities in counselor education. We will seek to identify current relevant areas for professional and personal satisfactions, growth, and self-care within a safe and supportive environment of peers representing women counselor educators across generations and other demographic backgrounds. We expect to practice skills that can be used in our own lives and in our classrooms, and, most likely, to laugh, to cry, and to create meaningful connections among retreat participants.

Ten (10) CEU hours as aligned with these NBCC continuing education approved topic areas:
Counselor self-assessment to address areas for ongoing professional growth.
Critical analysis of emerging issues in the counseling profession.
Self-care strategies and burnout prevention appropriate to the counselor role.

The retreat will begin between 4:00 and 4:30 pm Tuesday afternoon (October 3) and ends Thursday morning (October 5) by 10:00 a. m.

The registration fee of $160 includes dinner on Tuesday, all meals on Wednesday, and breakfast on Thursday, as well as housing (double occupancy). CEUs are also included in the cost.
